    Your role in the team

     

     

    We are currently seeking an Accounting Consultant to join our Lease Accounting Team. The Lease Accounting Team is part of our Real Estate Portfolio Administration area. The team is responsible for developing and reporting real estate financial data to leadership and other areas withing the business.

     

    The data developed included real estate rent and OPEX payments, building allocations changes, accounting reconciliations and statutory and GAAP reporting.  The team also compiles the annual plan for Real Estate, monthly forecast and year end estimates.

     

     

    Please note this role is being offer on a 12-month fixed term contract, with a proposed state date of August 2022

     

     

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

     

    • Prepare building space (COR – 150) allocation updates monthly
    • Accrue and prepare payments for Real Estate Tax payments
    • Lease Manager Building Expense Report Analysis
    • Assist in creation, maintaining and close of fixed assets
    • Complete lease classification testing and reporting
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly Executive Summary, ABI variance explanations, forecast and headcount reports
    • Prepare real estate related operating and strategic plans, as well as monthly forecasts
    • Assist with cost transferring addendums
    • Prepare Account Reconciliations and imputed interest posting
    • Prepare various journal vouchers for Real Estate activities and various items including coding adjustments vouchers
    • Prepare company specific expense reports

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • A degree level qualification (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Accountancy, or similar discipline,
      • OR a degree in a non-finance related discipline but supported with a post-graduate qualification within a finance or accountancy related discipline
      • OR 2 years’ experience in a Finance/Accountancy role
    • Chartered Accountant status achieved or actively pursuing the designation
    • Knowledge of financial statement reporting and related analysis
    • Strong working knowledge of basic basic computer software (Excel, Word)
    • Applicants must be willing and eligible to travel to the USA.

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • General knowledge of U.S. Accounting Standards, Statutory accounting principles and Insurance reporting knowledge will be required to be learned on the job
    • Familiar with Microsoft Office and the ability to analyse, manipulate and interpret large amounts of data
