Information Technology Compliance Lead (hybrid or remote)

    Your role in the team

     

    This role will support and manage audit, compliance, and risk efforts in the Compute Services (CS) organization within Allstate Technology.

     

    The Information Technology Compliance (ITC) Lead Consultant supports and manages the tools, technologies, processes, and strategies that optimize Compute Service’s risk and compliance portfolio.

     

    The Lead Consultant manages audits and audit resolution, performs analysis to mitigate risks, conducts research to identify emerging risks, and leads the implementation of programs that ensure compliance or improve the effectiveness of risk management and strategies.  The Lead Consultant will liaison with other organizations to consult, assess, provide advanced statistical analysis, escalate, and report on audit, compliance, and risk related data. 

     

    • Subject matter expert of the audit resolution process in order to provide stakeholders with effective direction and response to internal/external audit activities.
    • Identify options for incorporating control processes to fully address audit recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
    • Perform oversight on recommendations to verify actions taken are designed and/or working effectively to effectively manage the Compute Services risk and audit portfolios.
    • Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to predict and identify risk gaps, design mitigation strategies and execute on the strategies to reduce risk and exposure.
    • Remain current and relevant through research and evaluation of emerging trends, threats and technologies.
    • Utilize data and historical trending to produce meaningful stories or presentations and utilize content to assist with predicting future behavior.
    • Facilitate meetings, education and strategy sessions related to audit, risk and compliance.
    • Collaborate with others, think differently, and use influence to focus efforts on shifting the culture to a proactive approach of risk prevention.
    • Exhibit adaptability and innovation, along with a willingness to take calculated risks, celebrating success and learning from setbacks.
    • Build strong relationships in order to influence and motivate fellow team members, peers and clients across multiple locations.
    • Challenge assumptions in a respectful way, working through objections and adverse behaviors.
    • Drive individual goals while working with and leading others to reach departmental goals.

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • 5+ years work experience in audit, risk management, compliance, or data protection; and
    • Working knowledge of risk and audit frameworks.
    • Excellent people oversight and mentoring skills; and
    • Strong interpersonal, analytical, time management and organizational skills.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

     

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Working knowledge and understanding of COBIT framework
    • Understanding of SOX compliance and security controls
    • Familiarity with Archer GRC tool
