    The Role 

     

     

    The Senior Manager for Production Support and Operations (PS&O) is accountable for Arity’s production infrastructure and for the smooth and efficient operation of the broad portfolio of assets that run on it. 

    Furthermore, the role also has accountability for managing Arity’s device landscape (e.g. OBDII) and for fulfilment of operational data requests in order to meet Arity’s compliance obligations. To accomplish these objectives the Senior Manager establishes the PS&O strategic direction and has responsibility for leading a global team of talented engineers to execute it, together.

     

     

    • You will lead Arity’s Level 3 support operations, maintaining all of Arity’s deployed applications and software, ensuring that they run smoothly and efficiently. This includes, but is not limited to, the on-boarding of products and infrastructure, product security compliance, infrastructure security patching, and 3rd party change management and validation. 
    • You will support Arity’s production infrastructure ensuring that the appropriate monitoring, alerting and incident management processes are implemented, and taking point on ‘red to green’ scenarios and on incident reviews. 
    • You will develop and be advocate for best practices for ‘common’ engineering capabilities such as logging, monitoring and alerting. 
    • You will position automation at the centre of how you work and constantly seek opportunities to use automation to operate smarter, faster, better. 
    • You will manage Arity’s device landscape and associated infrastructure including Firmware Over the Air (FOTA) activities. 
    • You will partner with Arity’s Operational Excellence organisation to fulfil operational data requests in support of Arity’s compliance obligations. 
    • You will partner with Arity’s product teams to streamline the flow of support activities between them and PS&O 
    •  You will partner with Arity’s Customer Success (Level 1 and Level 2) teams to support the flow of accurate and timely communication to and from our customers.

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • 5+ years’ management experience, including accountability for all aspects of leading an organization including people management and development across multiple global organisations, finance/budgetary management, strategy planning and implementation, design and implementation of work processes, and delivery of complex work products
    • Minimum 2 years’ leading an engineering team size of 15+ responsible for deploying and supporting products in a cloud data centre environment, including experience managing other managers
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience leading teams deploying and supporting products in a cloud data centre environment 
    • Experienced in leading large-scale technology delivery efforts across global locations
    • Expertise in building and leading global teams, and implementing highly iterative software development practices including agile Scrum
    • Proficiency in leading complex organizational change strategies encompassing people, processes and technology to support digital transformation
    • Ability to manage relationships and influence at Director level and above 

     

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Experience with device management programs such as FOTA (Firmware Over The Air) 
    • Experience with PagerDuty (SaaS-based incident management platform)
