    Your role in the team

     

    Recently Allstate has diversified into Finance and Accountancy with a selection of exciting roles, and we are seeking the best people with the freshest ideas to join our new team. We are currently seeking an Statutory Reporting Accounting Analyst to support our growing financial footprint.

    • Assist in preparation of reports and identify/resolve key issues
    • Assist in reviewing local statutory reporting
    • Completing SOX controls
    • Working collaboratively within the team and across the various business units
    • Completing Cash Flow Statements
    • Preparation of schedules and exhibits used for Statutory reporting and analysis
    • Complete requests for external auditor during interim testing and year end inquiries
    • Participate in and initiate process improvement projects

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • A degree in Finance, Economics, Accountancy, or similar discipline, OR
    • A non-finance degree supported by a qualification in finance or accountancy
    • At least 2 years’ experience in a Finance/Accountancy role
    • Working towards an accountancy qualification
    • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite with Excel formula experience (pivot tables, v-lookups etc.)
    • Detailed oriented approach to work with ability to multitask while meeting deadlines
    • Applicants must be willing and eligible to travel to the USA

    • Ability to communicate well, build relationships and work as part of a team
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and the concepts, rules and terminology common to financial accounting
    • Possesses an inquisitive nature and demonstrates the ability to problem solve; not afraid to dig into the details and ask questions; ability to respond to ad hoc requests related to assigned tasks
    • Knowledge of financial statement reporting and related analysis
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with various levels of management
    • Good organizational and referencing skills related to work papers, financial statements and schedules
    • Focus on continuous improvements to ongoing processes
    • Attention to detail in workpapers and process documentation
