Senior Lead Talent Business Partner
Role Purpose & Context
This is a time of growth and change for Liberty IT, and we are looking for a Senior BP Lead to support us in evolving the Talent function and to partner with our leaders during this exciting time.
Reporting to Liberty IT’s Senior Director of Talent, this position will be a strategic People Business Partner play a key role in contributing to and executing on LIT’s Talent strategy. Together, with other key players in the Talent team, the successful candidate will ensure we have the right conditions in place to unleash the talent of our people, leaders, and teams.
You will lead the Talent Business Partner team to provide both tactical and strategic advice and consultation to our leaders. Acting also as a trusted coach, you will build competence, increase engagement, and deliver business results.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to the development and delivery of the Talent Strategy.
- Continue to support our culture of Talent Management, Development and Coaching through the effective leading and facilitation of the Talent Management activities in the organisation, to include Performance & Talent Reviews, Talent Forums and Succession planning and partnering with the L&D consultant on development interventions.
- Support and mentor Talent Business Partners as they coach leaders to the successful resolution of complex employee relations issues. Where necessary, take a lead role in the resolution of issues which represent significant risk.
- Act as employee champion in the organisation, staying connected to our employees.
- Be active in your support of our organisational Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives
- Support and lead the delivery of special projects including those that require partnership and collaboration across the wider Talent & Communications team
- Ensure compliance with all UK & Ireland employment legislation, supported by robust policies and procedures. Take the legal, ethical, and moral perspective in all people management situations. Ensure such outputs are of a high standard and supportive and reflective of the organisational culture, Values, and ways of working.
- As required, provide accurate advice and guidance to leaders in line with company policies and procedures
- Keep a pulse on Talent analytics, ensuring we identify key areas for improvement
- By commercially and professionally aware; recognize and identify key trends that may impact the business.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
- Have 4+ years’ Senior Talent/HR Business Partnering/Leader experience in a commercial organisation
- Excellent communication skills; written, verbal, listening, presentation, meeting facilitation
- Proven ability to lead, develop, coach and mentor more junior team members
- Ability to collaborate and get results through partnership across the Talent network: Talent Acquisition, L&D, Operations, Communications etc.
- Demonstrable experience of building & deploying Talent initiatives that drive measurable, positive impacts
- Experience of leading out on complex employee relation issues until successful conclusion
- The ability to build credibility with Leaders through excellent stakeholder management
- Strong Commercial Acumen with proven track record of delivering tangible, commercial results
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills
- Degree in HRM or equivalent Extensive up-to-date working knowledge of UK and Ireland employment legislation
Desired Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
- Experience working in a similar environment (i.e., IT / Financial / Insurance services)
- Experience of Agile HR
- Valid driving license
- Chartered member of CIPD
- Experience of operating with both NI and ROI employment legislation
