  Your role in the team

   

  The Security Engineering and Data Analytics Senior leader oversees and leads the managers and teams accountable for delivering capabilities necessary to support the Global Security Fusion Center’s mission.  The role will be responsible for teams delivering content development and tuning, systems management, COTS application management, custom development, and automation.  Key services in the leader’s organization include SIEM, DLP, Database Monitoring, In-house tool development, Systems Engineering and Operations (for GSFC dedicated capabilities).

      

   

   

  Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

   

  • Set strategic direction for all managed capabilities.
  • Internal partner relationship management, i.e. centers of excellence, Security Governance, GSFC leaders, etc.
  • External partner relationship management (security leaders in companies owned by Allstate)
  • Represent organizations projects and deliverables
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities across a diverse range of services
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for engineering, operations, and automation.
  • Build and maintain an effective workplace environment and culture for teams
  • Explain technical security topics and risks to VPs and other company leaders
  • Act as mentor for other leaders
  • Perform managerial accountabilities i.e. including budgeting, goal setting, employee reviews, payroll, etc.

   

   

   

   

  So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

   

  • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
  • The ideal candidate will 5+ years in security operations.  They should have advanced technical knowledge of network security, operating system security, vulnerability management, DLP, agile methodologies, and SIEM, and
  • 5+ years’ management experience, including accountabilities for all aspects of leading an organization including people management and development across multiple global organisations, finance/budgetary management, strategy planning and implementation, design and implementation of work processes, and delivery of complex work products, and
  • Knowledge of SIEM technologies and use case design, and
  • Knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux systems management, and
  • Knowledge of Agile best practices

   

  We also have some desirable criteria

   

  • Advanced time management skills including ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and organize
  • Ability to communicate security risk to executive leaders in business risk language
  • Experience in maturing security programs, specifically pertaining to security operations
  • Moderate knowledge of audit requirements (PCI, HIPPA, SOX, etc)
  • Moderate knowledge of Security Data Lakes
  • Good business writing skills
