    Your role in the team

     

    The Allstate NI Human Resources team are a highly successful and award-winning team of HR professionals.  The HR department is responsible for leading edge employment practices and provides a high-quality service at the centre of Allstate’s strategic and operational success. 

     We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Consultant to join the AskHR Shared Services Team. This is an extremely busy team which provides a range of services covering all aspects of the employee lifecycle to over 2,000 employees based in our three locations across Northern Ireland. This is a permanent position and travel across sites will be required from time to time. 

     

     

    Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

     

    • Absence Management to include management of both long and short-term absence cases
    • Management of employee relations issues to include disciplinary and grievance processes
    • Reporting and data analysis around key HR metrics 
    • Providing advice on a range of HR issues and policies to ensure smooth resolution of queries
    • Supporting the on-boarding and off-boarding process for employees.
    • Contributing to the on-going review of HR processes with a view towards digitization and automation 
    • Supporting a range of CSR initiatives
    • Providing support for employee experience initiatives (Development, Engagement, Wellbeing etc.)
    • Participation in key HR projects and initiatives to support the company’s people strategy while working alongside colleagues in the HR BP and COE functions
    • Supporting with the coordination of company reward & recognition programmes
    • Completing HR Administration and updating HR systems as required
    • Providing support for training activities as delegated by HR colleagues
    • Any other duties associated with the HR department

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • A minimum of 2 year’s post graduate experience in a HR role or a minimum of 1 year’s post graduate experience in HR where the candidate has completed a 12-month HR placement as part of their Degree
    • Honours Degree in Human Resources or Business-related discipline
    • Current Associate member of CIPD or higher
    • Experience dealing with employee relations issues to include disciplinary & grievance
    • Absence Management experience to include the management of short and long-term absence cases

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Previous HR experience in an IT company
