Mainframe Security Infrastructure Service Engineer (hybrid or remote)

    Your role in the team

     

    The Mainframe Security Engineering Team ensures that appropriate RACF security controls are implemented and maintained for Allstate’s mainframe environment.  The team implements and supports security controls on the mainframe platform to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the mainframe resources, and to ensure security standards and guidelines are adhered to.  Additionally, the team provides subject matter expertise to security administration teams to ensure sufficient provisioning and administration processes and procedures are established.

     

    Mid-level Mainframe Security Analyst to join an established team accountable for the management and stewardship of the mainframe security environment. Duties include providing engineering support for the RACF database, troubleshooting and resolving security issues and assisting in developing technical solutions to business problems based upon security best practices.

     

     

    Responsibilities include (but aren't limited to):

     

    • Support the overall access provisioning process in line with Allstate security policies
    • Assist in delivery of key projects and initiatives
    • Interact and consult with technology teams including systems programmers, DBAs, CICS/MQ support, mainframe network team, etc.
    • Collaborate with business and technology partners to develop best practice security solutions
    • Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of Incident tickets.
    • Review and take appropriate action on security reports
    • Participate in a monthly rotation for on-call support and support of monthly IPL process

     

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • Experience of Mainframe Multi factor authentication
    • Working knowledge of MVS tools and utilities – SDSF, ISPF, JES2, TSO, DFSORT
    • Strong problem determination, analysis and resolution skills
    • Strong interpersonal, collaboration and team skills
    • Capable of working independently with limited oversight

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

    • Experience of SAS, REXX, SailPoint
    • Experience of RACF Digital Certificates
    • Experience of the Vanguard Product Suite
    • Experience of Pervasive Encryption
