    Your role in the team

     

    We are excited to announce 2 SSIS Engineer roles opening within Allstate Business Insurance (ABI) at Allstate Northern Ireland to join our rapidly expanding team.

     

    The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on the new ABI Transformative Growth product Project Midway.

     

    ABI has created a new auto product to focus on small businesses with less than five vehicles by creating a new and modern user experience for customers and agents on a new platform using Duck Creek Technologies to allow customers and agents to quote, bind and service in a simple yet engaging way.

     

    You will be provided in-depth training in the new platform courtesy of the Duck Creek University Virtual training program.

     

    • Accountable for overall code quality for this product.  Does it deliver the functions it needs to deliver, is it of high quality, is it of high performance, is it usable
    • Understands the details of code supporting this product.
    • Understands the details of any Downstream Data Flows supporting this product.
    • Understands the details of how those Downstream Data Flows connect back into any Allstate or other vended components.
    • Follows design guidance to align with a cohesive and efficient product development.
    • Develops code to deliver functionality that align with Allstate's security and compliance standards
    • Provides insights and thought leadership in retrospective reviews to give insight to product owners, SCRUM masters, and lead engineers to improve velocity and quality

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a development role and
    • Experience of ETL development, including use of MS SSIS to move data between systems and automate load processes
    • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and
    • Experience with MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or SQL Server/working knowledge of SQL and
    • Experience of ETL

    • Be able to demonstrate a passion for learning and learning agility; and
    • Team player focusing on success of the team with excellent communications skills
