    Your role in the team

     

     

    The Cybersecurity Awareness and Communications Consultants’ job is to reduce risk to our organization by ensuring all employees, staff and contractors know, understand and follow our security requirements and behave in a secure manner.  The consultant will accomplish this in collaboration with security professionals using persuasive communication, change management and marketing skills to develop and maintain a security awareness programme.   

     

     

    The Cybersecurity Awareness, Communication and Engagement team

     

    Protecting employee, agency owner, and customer data is critical to Allstate’s customer value proposition, which promises a relationship based on trust.  Our comprehensive security awareness program sets clear cybersecurity expectations for all employees and informs users how to recognize attacks, help prevent cyber-related incidents and respond to a potential threat - all of which reduce risk.  Awareness campaigns about being safe online, strong passwords, social engineering and more, help train employees into becoming a first line of cyber defense and ensures the confidentiality of sensitive business data.  Our team develops and implements strategic marketing communication plans on a variety of initiatives to a large diverse audience through a wide range of communication channels.

     

     

     

    • Develops communications content to support high priority cybersecurity initiatives
      • Develops error-free strategically targeted written communications that meets the client's requirements, creates understanding of complex subject matter, and effectively uses language in an innovative and creative way to reinforce key messages
      • Prepares content for publication materials, digital messages, employee communications, newsletters, and informational materials for internal or external audiences
      • Graphic skills to create clear, concise reports and compelling PowerPoint presentations

     

     

    • Communications plans and tactics:
      • Participates in strategic planning sessions regarding root cause analysis of business issues and/or opportunities that lead to the development of communications plans
      • Applies functional knowledge to assist with the creation and execution of strategic communications plans
      • Understands business issues and uses communication to solve organizational problems and achieve organizational objectives.
      • Edits/reviews self/others’ communications and plans

     

     

    • Develops and maintains effective partnerships
      • Builds a network of contacts; develops and maintains cross-organizational relationships
      • Works with colleagues from across the organization to achieve better results

     

     

    • Program and events management
      • Assist with management and logistics on key cybersecurity programs which include CyberCon, an enterprise-wide cybersecurity awareness event.

     

     

    • Social Media
      • Internal and external social media post and campaign development

     

     

    • Website Development
      • Build and maintain website for agency cybersecurity

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK'
    • A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, with at least 2+ years of communications planning and writing experience.
    • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to form complex communications in a simple, clear and concise manner to the various communities within our organization.  
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present to multiple stakeholders
    • Excellent PowerPoint skills
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
    • Comfortable in taking initiative and able to work with minimum supervision
    • Strong social media competencies
    • Project management skills, the ability to plan, manage and maintain a complex, organization wide programme over the longer term.

     

     

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

     

    • Experience with graphic design tools
    • Basic understanding of Cybersecurity
    • Web design experience
    • Video creation and editing
