    Your role in the team

     

    The Life Financial Analysis job family is responsible for the development, maintenance, tracking and analysis of financial, strategic and statistical data and tools used by the Company.  This can include internal and external reporting, identifying issues and analyzing trends to strengthen the understanding of financial results.  

     

    As a Financial Analyst, the successful candidate will be a member of the Allstate Life and Retirement (ALR) Team, will be based in Belfast and working closely with the Allstate Finance functions in the USA.

     

    The team is primarily responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information and analysis to support decision making for ALR management, and the internal and external reporting of financial data by the Allstate Corporation. The team is responsible for the development, maintenance, control, tracking and analysis of financial, strategic and statistical data and tools used by management. The team provides data to and participates in formation of financial plans and forecasts and provides answers to questions regarding financial matters.

     

    • Analyze and communicate financial results for business units within ALR. 
    • Provide financial analysis to support business decisions
    • Report, analyze, and present actual results, plans, forecasts or other financial matters
    • Investigate basic financial and/or statistical issues and questions
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual financial reports and presentations timely and accurately
    • Develop and lead effective presentations for small groups
    • Partner and work closely with management teams and key stakeholders in the organization
    • Participate and complete adhoc projects/requests

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • A degree in Finance related discipline; or
    • A degree in a non-finance related discipline but supported with an industry qualification within a finance or accountancy related discipline; and
    • At least 18 months experience in a Finance/Accountancy role; and
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and Outlook)
    • Possesses good written/oral communication skills and well organized
    • Applicants must be willing and eligible to travel to the USA.

    • Having a logical and analytical approach
    • Good problem-solving skills with an attention to detail
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to communicate well, build relationships and work as part of a remote team
    • Familiar with Microsoft Office and the ability to analyze, manipulate, and interpret large amounts of data
    • Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills
