    Your role in the team

     

     

    Allstate Technology Architecture plays a fundamental role in aligning Allstate’s business and technology strategies.  Architects work with their business and technology delivery partners to define and document technology that drives our business will look like in the future and how it fits into the broader vision of Allstate’s technology and capabilities landscape.  Governance of the processes plays a key role in a successful operation, and we are now looking to improve how that works.

     

     

    We are pleased to announce that we currently have an opening for a new architect for HR Technology to join the ACG Architecture team.

     

     

    The Enterprise Architect for HR Technology will work on conceptual architecture, high-level design strategy and technical design for IT solutions, based on functional and non-functional requirements in the scope of Allstate Canada HR Communications (HRC) IT product, part of Digital Workplace product suite.

     

     

    They will participate in selection and configuration of the document generation, distribution and management systems’ components, architect unified communications systems, determine effective integration and data acquisition patterns, reporting and analytical architecture and provide architectural guidance in creating related specifications and formulating testing and deployment approach of the designed business solution

     

     

     

    • Architecture support Allstate Canada HR Communications IT product initiatives
    • Provide architectural expertise and guidance for technology solutions in multiple HCM areas
    • Communication and workshops with Allstate US Enterprise Architecture on alignment with Enterprise TSA in delivering HRIS/HRMS and HCM solutions
    • Supports HR Communications delivery team within Digital Workplace IT product suite
    • Understanding architecture solutions and practices in various areas of Information Technology - in particular, Front-end technology, Mobile technology, Integration technology, Data Architecture, Platform Architecture and Systems Engineering, Solution Delivery
    • Understanding Software Development Lifecycle
    • Understanding capabilities of modern programming languages and software development frameworks
    • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture governance

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

     

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • At least 5 years’ experience of architecture and/or software design
    • Experience in an Architect role delivering HRIS/HRMS and HCM solutions for a large global organization
    • A willingness to learn new skills
    • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
    • Ability to collaborate with and guide partner teams to help them comply with governance standards
    • Ability to prioritize and manage work in a multi-team environment

     

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

     

     

     

    • Previous experience of application portfolio management in a corporate environment
    • Understanding of Changepoint EAM and ServiceNow CMDB
