    Allstate Investments 

     

    In 2017 Allstate NI commenced their engagement with the Investments department. Now Investments Planning & Analysis wishes to add to their Allstate NI footprint with the addition of a Band C Consultant with focus on building out and maintaining the reporting environment. The key skills for the role will be Data Visualization Development (Power BI / Tableau) experience with an interest in finance.This is an excellent opportunity to get in at the start of this new engagement, gain new knowledge and skills in an exciting and interesting area of Allstate’s business.

    Your role in the team

    This new and exciting opportunity involves creating and managing existing solutions, ensuring data integrity, gathering requirements and developing solutions iteratively, and working closely with leaders to deliver solutions that add value. As our Data Reporting & Visualisation Consultant you will help us on delivering metric driven analytics on Allstate Investments data.

    This role is ideally suited for some with a strong technical background who wishes to expand their horizon into the financial world.

    • Preparing reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data to enable leader’s visibility of Investment performance for our portfolios.
    • Development of new reports using test and learn approach
    • Use of Power BI to create, manage and automate performance boards
    • Ad-hoc reporting to provide more detailed analysis of metrics on performance boards
    • Collaborating across the investment area to provide support as required and identify opportunities for process improvements.
    • Liaison with Investments partners to ensure data consistency, security, governance and accuracy.
    • Ensuring process documentation is accurate and up to date for ease of use of reports
    • Any other duties as required within this fast paced, dynamic environment.

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must be able to demonstrate their right to work in the UK
    • 5 years+ experience of BI Products, building Dashboards using Power BI, Tableau or similar products
    • Demonstrates depth and breadth of analytical expertise
    • Advanced problem-solving skills with strong focus on attention to detail
    • Advanced excel skills with experience building models
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to adapt to meet evolving business requirements and timelines
    • Effective communication skills with the capability to articulate complex concepts to senior stakeholders
    • Ability to build relationships across Investments partners and work as part of a team.

     

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

    • Advanced BI Skills
    • Advanced SQL or Tableau skills
    • Business Objects Experience
    • In depth business intelligence, including strong understanding of corporate structure and ANI hierarchy.
