    Allstate operate a very flexible hybrid working model with a blend of remote and office working for NI based employees.  Employees based in GB will be employed on a permanent remote working contract.

    Your role in the team

     

    This role is housed within the National General by Allstate Product department, leading the development of analytical data and execution of state strategy in support of business goals. Responsibilities include interfacing with several internal customers and other teams within National General by Allstate Product.

     

    Our team applies their knowledge to provide key insights and decision support for National General by Allstate. We do this through analytics and use of visualization techniques to understand our data and highlight key recommendations.

     

    This analyst level role will recommend, coordinate, and complete analyses and projects intended to drive business results.  Projects include, but are not limited to:  Quantitative analysis, development of analytics, measurement of initiatives, and execution of analytics strategy to drive profitable growth. 

     

    The successful candidate should be able to work with teams to identify and extract the relevant data required for generating reports and dashboards, must have strong communication skills and the ability to learn new skills.

     

    • Support innovative solutions and systems for National General by Allstate’s strategic use of data to accomplish business objectives
    • Produce high quality analysis, reports and visualizations to validate and explain insights. 
    • Perform analysis using available industry data to inform underwriting, deployment, pricing, and marketing strategies
    • Contribute to the achievement of short and long-term strategies to achieve market share growth and profitability targets leveraging quantitative and qualitative analysis
    • Measure and communicate results; use this information to make recommendations to improve initiatives and present findings in a business-friendly manner to a range of audiences
    • Identify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes

     

     

     

    So, what are the essential criteria to apply?

     

    • All candidates must evidence an existing right to work in the UK
    • 2+ year IT working experience; and
    • 1+ years of SQL experience or similar programming languages (Python or R)
    • 1+ years of data analytics experience

     

     

     

    We also have some desirable criteria

    • Experience developing reports and drawing actionable conclusions using data analytics
    • Proficiency in query/reporting tools, SQL, Advanced Excel, PowerBI, Tableau (or similar visualization tools), R, Python or other statistical tools
    • Insurance and/or pricing knowledge and experience in P&C industry is preferred
    • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
    • Strong attention to detail; can analyze data and review analysis from others and identify and resolve basic data issues
