We are recruiting for a Systems Analyst/Programmer who will join the NI Cancer Registry and report into the IT Manager. The successful candidate will receive training on IT cancer registration systems and work as part of the wider team to identify user interface requirements to facilitate the registering of cancer data on patients resident in N Ireland.
The Systems Analyst/Programmer will develop and implement test plans for software developments to include both unit and full system testing activities and ensure that the system provides high quality data and production of extracts and reports to support NICR staff and research activities in NICR.
The successful candidate must have:
Salary: £33,797 to £35,845 per annum
Contract available until: 31st October 2021 with possibility of extension

The N. Ireland Cancer Registry (NICR) is located in CPH and is funded by the Public Health Agency for Northern Ireland. The Department of Health established the N. Ireland Cancer Registry in 1994 and continues to appreciate and support via the PHA, the registry which produces the annual Official Statistics on cancer incidence, prevalence and survival in Northern Ireland and provides evidence to help inform decision making about cancer services. NICR collects patient information on their disease and the services they receive. This work uses data provided by patients and collected by the health service as part of their care and support

Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding
